Danger #1: too tight and tight clothes
Wearing the «slim» and «skinny» models (jeans and trousers «in a tight fit») seven days a week can lead to bloating! And not only. Redness of the skin, diaper rash and enlargement of the pelvic organs (the so—called hidden varicose veins) are also unpleasant consequences of wearing tight clothes. Tight underwear, by the way, is even more harmful: for example, thong panties, especially synthetic ones, provoke fungal infections and cystitis (by increasing heat and humidity in the perineum, they thereby disrupt the microflora). Tight clothes are not very suitable for men either, because the constant wearing of overly tight jeans does not have the best effect on the potency and even the mobility of spermatozoa.
Our tips:
appreciate dresses and skirts. They are beautiful and no less comfortable, and you can get no less pleasure from wearing them than from «skinny» (especially if you are susceptible to fungal infections or suffer from chronic cystitis).
For men, there is only one recommendation — try to choose looser trousers, mainly made of cotton, which avoid friction and stagnation of blood in the pelvic organs.
Danger #2: «combat» bras
First of all, let’s debunk one big scary myth: even if the bones are not very comfortable, they can lead to microtrauma and even deformity of the bust, breast cancer will not cause. On the other hand, a bra that is too loose or poorly adjusted will not do its «job» well. Over time, this can lead to ptosis (lowering) of the chest, that is, you will have «spaniel ears», or even chest and back pain (if you have a lush bust). Tightness can also cause excessive sweating and even discharge from the nipples.
Our tips:
breast size depends on many factors: weight, past pregnancies, etc. Make it a rule to measure it once a year.
when trying on a bra, keep in mind that the breasts should completely fill the cups (but not so tightly that they fall out of them)!
check if you can fasten the hooks of the bodice right in the middle of the row of fasteners — this will leave you room to «maneuver» up or down if you lose weight or gain weight.
the bra straps should be adjusted well, do not pull, do not put pressure on the shoulders, and the cups should be strictly under the breast.
Danger #3: XXL size bags are roomy and heavy
A cosmetic bag with a full set of makeup products, a phone (sometimes more than one), a small first aid kit, a diary, house keys, car keys — we carry all this in our handbags every day. What is the problem, you ask? Yes, the fact that all these kilograms are hanging on our shoulders and back. The imbalance that the spine experiences from this is very traumatic and dangerous. Carrying heavy bags can negatively affect the muscles and tendons.
Our tips:
lighten your bag: with its contents, it should not weigh more than 4.5 kg!
change the right and left sides when you carry a heavy bag on your shoulder for a long time.
in case of pain, the best therapy will be a rest from bags in general (you can use the belt version of the bag type «banana»). If this is not possible, sign up for a massage course. Exercises for the muscles of the neck, back and shoulder girdle and swimming in the pool will also help to cope with unpleasant sensations.
It is also worth paying attention to what materials your clothes are made of. Greenpeace regularly conducts tests of compliance of clothing of international brands with environmental standards. The results of inspections are not always pleasing: both expensive and budget brands use dangerous compounds in the manufacture of fabrics for various wardrobe items that can harm health.
Danger No. 4: jewelry (and not only) made of nickel
Are you familiar with the red spots and itching that bother you even after you take off jewelry? This is an allergy, the main culprit of which is nickel. The most unpleasant thing is that it hides everywhere: sometimes even in white or yellow gold! It’s not worth joking with this: sometimes a mild form of contact allergy can turn to eczema in other places. For example, a slight irritation from jewelry that contains barely perceptible «traces» of nickel can then go into an active phase provoked by allergenic foods (this metal is found, for example, in wheat flour, oatmeal, seafood, etc.).
Our tips:
consult with an allergist and find out if you have a predisposition to nickel allergy (if necessary, conduct skin tests). Keep in mind that if the «diagnosis» is confirmed, the doctor, unfortunately, will not help you get rid of the problem.
The only solution will be to get rid of nickel once and for all: look for the indication «without nickel» on the jewelry packages.
Be especially vigilant when choosing earrings, because the earlobes and auricles are a part of the body that is very strongly influenced by this metal.
