At first, the changes in the life of a girl named Lisa Kitchen came quite predictably. She got married, returned from her honeymoon, and soon her cat died — a 19-year-old pet who had long outlived her feline age. Lisa decided that now she will build a new family, her own, which needs a new cat. So a purebred kitten Max appeared in their family. And suddenly, all of a sudden, everything changed dramatically.
Max quickly grew into a beautiful, fluffy cat, with a very playful and friendly disposition. Yes, the trouble is — he immediately decided that Lisa’s husband was the main one in the family, and she just brought food and cleaned the tray. And extremely reluctantly, but allowed himself to be stroked, just running away from the girl on the handles to the man. Well, that’s fine! But in one ordinary evening Lisa returned home and heard a demanding mewing. Max clearly wanted to get her attention.
Accustomed to the whims of a pet, the girl did not attach any importance to this. But at night the cat came and lay down in her bed. And the next one, too. At first, he carefully lay down at the feet, but then he began to get closer and closer. Max literally tried to hug the hostess, demonstrating his loyalty and affection in every possible way, which was discouraging. The cat didn’t ask for anything, he just wanted to be as close to the woman as possible.
Lisa has heard that cats have the gift of anticipating important events, but what exactly did Max learn? The answer was found only a month later — she was pregnant! How the cat understood this before the woman felt it herself is still a mystery, but he assumed the duties of the guardian of the unborn child and regularly performs this work. Make no mistake, the cat still treats Lisa herself as a woman in their family, a housewife. But since she is carrying a baby under her heart, it is necessary to take care of her in every possible way.
If Lisa disappears from Max’s field of vision, he begins to meow until she identifies herself with her voice and then the cat literally flies to the sound. The husband is now subject to a boycott — you are an adult, you will take care of yourself. And that’s how to react to it? One can only hope that after the birth of the child, the cat will really become his alternative guardian angel. And Lisa is not proud, she will cope with this «discrimination» — as long as everything is good in the family.
