A dog is the best friend for children. The American Elizabeth Spence was convinced of this. Together with her husband, she repeatedly took animals from shelters. Somehow they got a dog named Nora.
At one time, the animal suffered a lot of grief from previous owners. They mocked her so much that the animal became afraid of all bipeds. No matter how hard the Spences tried, Nora still didn’t trust people.
Everything changed when the couple had a son, Archie. He became their third child. But the dog was afraid of other children — the boy Wellington and the daughter Loretta. But when she saw Archie for the first time, Nora was transformed.
When Elizabeth returned from the hospital, she gave Archie a sniff to her pet. After that, the dog began to literally walk on the heels of Elizabeth, who was carrying Archie, and when he got older and learned to walk, then after him.
Nora and Archie became inseparable friends. At the same time, the dog awakened interest in the whole world around him. She’s changed. Instead of a closed and frightened animal, Nora turned into a good-natured and playful pet. Now the dog is not afraid of people (at least those who are kind to her).
With Archie, she plays, walks, sleeps, eats and just plays pranks. Elizabeth also started an account in social networks, where she publishes photos of her youngest son and pet.
By the way, in addition to five people (two adults and three children), three more cats and four dogs live in the Spence house. Elizabeth jokingly calls the house an overflowing ark.
“At any time of the day, you will certainly find a bunch of children, cats and dogs sitting, running or lying in different corners of the house,” the woman says.
