Football is a contact sport. Therefore, injuries often happen here. Unfortunately, there have been fatal cases. Gina Agredano almost witnessed one of them. Moreover, her own son could have died on the football field.
16-year-old Jose plays for the youth team of an American club. In the next state championship game, the ball hit the guy right in the chest. The usual, in principle, moment almost cost him his life. After all, the ball hit Jose right in the heart. Not everyone immediately noticed that after the blow, the young football player began to stagger, and then collapsed on the lawn.
“I just felt dizzy and everything was very blurry. I tried to keep my balance, but I got down on one knee, and then collapsed,” Jose said.
Seeing her son fall, Gina instantly rushed from the stands to the field. For the first second, the woman thought that the boy had a concussion. First of all, the mother checked Jose’s pulse, and then tried to talk to him. The young man had blue lips, and his breathing became ragged.
Gina is a doctor by profession. At these moments, she tried to keep her composure and not think that she needed to resuscitate her own son. “You’re not going to die today. I’m not ready to lose you,” Gina repeated, doing a heart massage.
Later it became known that after hitting the ball, the boy’s heart stopped, and then began to fall into an abnormal rhythm. I needed a taser. Fortunately, rescuers arrived in time and helped Gina pull Jose out of the grave. After that, the young man was taken to the hospital.
Now everything is fine with the young athlete. But if it wasn’t for his mom, then most likely, not only Jose’s career ended that day, but also his life. Gina not only gave life to Jose, but also did not let him die.
