This includes semi-finished products, canned food, sausages and other food that we so often buy in the store on the way home.»

Often such products contain ingredients that can cause weight gain, water retention and inflammation. For example, added sodium, refined carbohydrates and sugar, as well as trans fats.

So, if you want to reduce puffiness, it is better to avoid products with a high degree of processing.

The second rule is to limit sodium intake. In simple terms, there is less salt.

«Your body responds to a higher level of salt intake by storing more water to keep the sodium concentration in the blood at a healthy level,» says the nutritionist. But it is important not to give up salt altogether, otherwise the swelling will not go away, however, due to the lack of sodium.

It’s the same with refined carbohydrates — they are stored as glycogen. Although glycogen is the body’s way of digesting carbohydrates, too much glycogen can lead to an increase in water weight.

Foods to eat
The nutritionist advises drinking more clean water. It is not necessary to stick to the figure of 2 liters per day, but it is desirable to strive for it.

In addition, it is worth introducing more fruits and vegetables into the diet. Especially those that contain potassium (bananas, avocados, spinach), magnesium (leafy greens, nuts and seeds, beans) and vitamin B6 (chickpeas, sweet fruits, potatoes, bananas).

What other products are important for the face to lose weight? Whole grain bread, lean proteins (for example, chicken breast, turkey) and omega-3 fatty acids, which are abundant in fish.

And in addition, drink at least sometimes freshly squeezed green juice and green smoothies. They have a lot of easily digestible nutrients that will give the face a radiant look.
