Repairs in the old grandmother’s apartment have not been done since the collapse of the USSR. Furniture, appliances and wall decoration required attention, because they looked old and did not inspire new exploits. Then the grandchildren decided to radically change everything.
Before
Old crumbling cabinets, a lonely sink, a buzzing refrigerator, and a dining area consisting of a table and benches with upholstery that has long been worn by time. There is too little furniture for a large enough kitchen.
The wallpaper is faded, the eye has nothing to cling to. And you can’t look at a floor made to look like a tree without tears.
But, of course, the lonely grandmother could not financially or physically pull the transformation of the kitchen.
After
The free space was correctly distributed so that there were no visual voids. In place of the cabinets stood a beautiful set, both outdoor and suspended, so that there was a place to store all sorts of utensils. The upper shelves, moreover, are also illuminated, which gives comfort.
The apron was made of tiles under a white brick. The lower part of the headset is gray-black. Built-in oven with induction hob, refrigerator, microwave at a convenient level.
The walls were partially painted dark gray, and in some places they were covered with wallpaper, which is why, despite the gloomy colors, the room seems warm.
Instead of the old table, they put a new, round, white color, and around it — two interesting chairs. To make it light, they hung a beautiful chandelier on several light bulbs.
At first it seems that grandma may not like the predominance of dark shades, but everything looks so harmonious and stylish that there is nothing to complain about.
And if you put a vase with wildflowers on the table, then it will be a fairy tale at all. As if Khrushchev became an elite real estate in a new building.
