At the end of May this year, a heroic act was committed by a little American Chase, and all the media were talking about it a few days ago. A seven-year-old child went fishing with his father and sister.
The St. Johns River is the longest in the state of Florida, flows into the ocean and has a strong current. By boat they swam quite far from the shore and started fishing. However, Chase’s sister asked her father to let her take a dip in the water. She usually did this by holding onto the boat’s side with her hands. But this time something went wrong.
The strong current forced the girl to let go of her hands and she was immediately carried away from the boat to a considerable distance. Chase was also in the water, but he could not help his sister, nor could his father, who rushed to the children’s aid. The man managed to grab his daughter, but the son was out of reach.
Little Chase, hearing his father in despair, talking about his love for them, as if saying goodbye, stopped trying to get to the boat and swam to shore. The child overcame one and a half kilometers in an hour, got out on dry land and called rescuers. He met his father and sister already on the shore.
