One young mother from Georgia shared a very touching video on social networks. It shows her little daughter hearing her sister’s voice for the first time.
As the woman says, her daughter was born prematurely, for three whole months. And a week later she was diagnosed with a disappointing diagnosis: necrotic enterocolitis, a disease of the intestines and stomach. The child had to be treated with antibiotics, which led to the fact that the baby lost her hearing.
At such a young age, it is difficult to determine how much a girl can hear. And the parents decided to buy a hearing aid and look at the difference in how she perceives the environment. The result amazed everyone. The very first emotions of the child with the device were filmed on video, and the mother published it on the web.
«She reacted to most sounds, so we thought she could hear pretty well. After what I saw today, everything turned out to be not as good as I thought,» says the mother.
The older sister says to her: «Little sister, little sister…».
The baby first becomes alert, listens attentively to her, and then begins to burst out laughing.
«I smile through my tears. It was the first time she heard something clearly, that’s for sure,» Carol explained later. ― It was such happiness! She has become much more active and tries to talk more. You can just say that the device had a great impact on her.»
