Albinism is a congenital recessive-inherited absence of melanin pigment. Such a genetic feature is rare, but it occurs in humans. It is most noticeable in representatives of the Negroid race.
Eleven years ago, a girl was born in the African-American Clark family, who was named Ava. She was very different from her parents. The baby was born with absolutely fair skin and hair.
Along with albinism, doctors found Ava also had vision problems. So for a while the baby had to visit an optometrist, as well as study at a school for the blind. Fortunately, doctors were able to correct Clarke’s vision.
Now Ava is studying at the most ordinary American high school. In her free time, the girl does sports: running and gymnastics.
The unique appearance attracted the attention of modeling agencies. Clarke took part in photo shoots for the world’s glossy magazines, like BOOM Magazine or VIP Magazine. Moreover, an albino girl became the heroine of one of the clips of her idol, singer Beyonce.
Now the feature that Ava Clark has does not make her an outcast. But not so long ago in Africa, albinos were really hunted. Some peoples believed that the bones of albinos were curative.
