In the Indian village of Saristal in the province of Chhattisgarh, local peasants found a newborn girl in a dog den. Surprisingly, there was not a scratch on it. The puppies saved her, although logically it should have been the other way around.

When the police arrived, they found no clues, no traces of possible parents. Doctors after the examination said that the girl was phenomenally lucky. After birth, the umbilical cord was roughly cut and no one else did anything with it, no care for the baby. Apparently, the mother dog found her and brought her to the den, where she managed to survive a very cold night in the warmth of the puppies.
The girl was found very timely, because even with such protection she was in danger.
The most paradoxical thing in this story is that the girl survived at all. The area is teeming with stray dogs, mostly extremely cruel. There are countless cases of attacks on people and livestock, and there is a guess that an unknown grief—mother deliberately left the child to perish. And it turned out exactly the opposite, which was already called a festive miracle in the Indian media.
The girl was named Akanksha.
