Our world is an amazing place where cruelty and mercy, destruction and creation, evil and kind coexist. Yes, there are a lot of bad things in our world, but as long as there are more good things, there is hope for a positive outcome. Today we will tell the story of a boy who has done more good in his 12 years than many adults.
His name is Campbell Remess. A schoolboy sews soft toys with his own hands, but not for sale. The boy gives them to a local hospital where seriously ill children are treated. He called his activity «Project 365 from Campbell». Apparently, it was meant that every day he would give a toy to one child, but he had already exceeded the plan and sewed more than 800 toys that pleased the kids.
This idea came to him about 3 years ago. Once the boy visited this hospital with his parents. There Campbell saw a lot of kids who were painful to look at. The boy asked his parents to buy them some gifts, but they refused him, because they did not have that much money. Then the boy decided to act independently.
He started sewing toys that were supposed to be gifts for little patients for Christmas. His first works did not look the best, but the boy did not give up and continued to hone his skills.
His act did not go unnoticed. He was thanked by hospital staff, relatives of patients and even ordinary residents of the city. Soon the fame of the good boy spread all over the world.
Campbell’s example shows us that everyone can make this world a little better.
