A random passerby could not pass by the amazing picture and turned on the camera on his smartphone. On the steps of the stone staircase, in Bucaramanga Park, a man arranged a festive treat for himself and two pets. Judging by the fact that the dogs had holiday hats on their heads, it was a birthday.
The traditional congratulatory song and hugs only confirmed the observer’s assumption. There was a cake too, with two lighted candles. His man, as expected, divided it on plates.
After finishing filming, an intrigued passerby approached the trio and found out that the man’s name was Choco Jose Luis Matos.
A few years ago, he ran away from home, where he was mistreated and has been living on the streets of Bucaramanga ever since. He picked up two puppies here, they are his closest friends. On this day they celebrated Shaggy’s birthday, the other dog’s name is Nena. The touched passerby offered his help to Choco and his friends, and some time later, after the video was posted on the social network, many local residents joined him.
Now, thanks to the video, a homeless man and his dogs are real stars. And the city park has become a gathering place for caring people who bring them food and things, as well as take pictures together.
Some come with their dogs. In addition, several good Samaritans took care of Choco’s fate, and it seems that thanks to them, the fate of Choco and his pets can change for the better.
