Lissa McGowan, a Canadian resident, has been working in the intensive care unit at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick all her life. So, in 1987, a newborn patient named David Caldwell came to her department, because he was born six weeks earlier. When the boy recovered, his parents took a joint picture with Lissa as a keepsake.
Thirty-three years later, David brought his wife to the same hospital, his child was born ten weeks ahead of time. But neither David nor Lissa knew each other. His wife, Renata, was reviewing her husband’s children’s album, came across that old photo. She couldn’t believe her eyes, because this is the same nurse who takes care of their son Zane.
The man didn’t believe it right away, but after showing the photo to Lissa, she confirmed that it was true. They decided to repeat the picture for memory. Fortunately, Zane is on the mend. It can’t be any other way, because he is protected by the guardian angel of their family.
