We are born almost blind, our eyes hurt from the excess of light and they close by themselves. And then, when they open, they begin to change and so on for the rest of their lives. The old people’s eyes are dim because their energy has dried up, their life path is nearing the end. And therefore, the most interesting, the most unusual are the eyes of the kids, which glow with their inner light!
Photographer Abdullah Aidemir, who took these magnificent pictures, lives and works in Istanbul. The city of contrasts, the crossroads of the world, where there are poor neighborhoods and rich ones, where street cats are respected and where you can meet people of all nationalities.
And their kids, of course, for whom Abdullah is hunting. Because the best, most interesting models are not in the studio, but on the street, you just need to find them!
The photographer himself considers brilliant children’s looks to be something like beacons, which should attract the attention of lost and tired souls.
Because at a young age everything seems big and interesting, the future excites the imagination, I want to create, move and just live. Hence the frenzied release of energy that illuminates the eyes of the kids. Adults can’t do this anymore, and they don’t want to, but in vain! That is why we need children as a reminder, as an example of what life is for!
It can be seen that most of the kids in the photo are dirty, dirty, with scratches, bruises and abrasions. Because a small child does not know how to sit still and does not pay attention to such trifles.
These are real life shots, the children are not washed, not prepared for shooting, and often also seem to be caught off guard. That’s why the emotions are so sincere, and the light of their eyes is real!
