Elizaveta Maslakova, a fourth-grader from the city of Satka, Chelyabinsk region, committed a truly heroic act. She was returning home when she saw that there was a two-year-old baby on the railway tracks. A diesel locomotive was already rushing towards her from around the bend. Without a second’s hesitation, the schoolgirl rushed to save the child. Almost at the very last moment, she grabbed the baby and rushed to the side of the road with her, thereby avoiding a terrible tragedy.
The driver of that very train admitted that he would not have had time to slow down in any way, so Lisa really saved the life of this child.
Moreover, after the incident, Lisa did not leave the little girl, but went in search of her home and parents. And an hour later she succeeded. She returned the baby to her family and went home with a calm soul.
Lisa’s parents, of course, are proud of such a brave and heroic act of their daughter. They also note that their girl always strives to help those who need it.
Lisa’s actions were appreciated by representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Very soon in Moscow, in a solemn atmosphere, the girl will be presented with an award for saving her life.
