Young Madlen Humphis, originally from Oklahoma, was born with a peculiarity: in early childhood he had a «harelip» and heterochromia — an anomaly due to which human eyes differ in color.
The non-standard shape of the lip was corrected with the help of operations, but it was impossible to influence the color of the eyes. Such an unusual appearance of the boy attracted the attention of his peers, who laughed at him. Madlen was upset about it and couldn’t find friends.
One day, the boy’s mother accidentally stumbled across a photo of a cat on the Internet, which had a similar eye color anomaly, a problem with the lip. The animal was at that moment with animal welfare volunteers. Seeing the cat, the woman immediately realized that she was born to become her son’s friend, and decided to shelter the four-legged beauty.
After the appearance of a new pet in the house, Madeline no longer feels lost in society and lonely. The cat got a beautiful name Luna.
